We are called by God to minister to those who are less fortunate than ourselves
As former pastors we have been involved with people that have needed both physical and spiritual food
In recent years, while visiting Mexico, we felt God speaking to us to help the people of the Zihuatanejo area. There are 18 colonies of seniors that live in no more than shacks and in need of food, shelter and clothing. Over time we have met these needs by purchasing food locally and distributing it to the people.
What we do
We are dedicated to helping families in need in Zihuatanejo by providing essential resources such as food, clothing, and shelter assistance. Our goal is to support these families and help them improve their quality of life while demonstrating the love of God.
FOOD ASSISTANCE
In Zihuatanejo, many seniors are struggling with food security as they only receive $1200 pesos a month, which is less than $100 CAD. This amount is not enough to cover their basic needs, including food.
CLOTHING ASSISTANCE
We provide clothing, blankets, shoes, and school supplies to children and families in rural and mountainous areas. Our goal is to ensure that everyone in our community has access to these essential items.
SHELTER ASSISTANCE
In Zihuatanejo, many people live in makeshift shacks without basic amenities and safety standards. These vulnerable communities urgently need support. We work with local churches to improve living conditions and offer hope to those in need.

Every year, Dave and Marguerite (Zihua Ministries) bring donations from their friends and their church in Canada to purchase food bags for the seniors. They also bring useful home items like blankets,
clothing to share with the seniors. I’ve given my donation, because I know that they do the work that they say they are going to do. It isn’t easy shopping to fill the bags for the seniors, but the seniors are so grateful for whatever comes their way.

My wife Jeannette and I had the privilege of spending the month of February 2025 with ZIHUA MINISTRIES. We helped package bags of needful foodstuffs for underprivileged seniors and attended distribution points. We handed out school supplies to often forgotten children. Jeannette and I are happy to support the Jacksons and encourage others to "show mercy cheerfully" by also sharing their winter stays in Mexico with this ministry.
